Decent place, but not top-of-the-line. The person at the front desk was really sweet, but the printer was having issues.
Checking in with so easy and the lady that checked me in Christy was so nice.
Had to switch rooms because the first room smelled like smoke and im not sure if it had bee thoroughly cleaned. But the second room was in excellent condition. The staff was top notch. Very helpful.
Me and my family usually we stay on candlewood suites on the way to Florida super clean super welcoming easy access from the highway. Many delicious food places around kids friendly prices is amazing. It fit any budget. Thank you. See you again.
I really don't understand how this hotel is rated a "2 Star" hotel. This is one of the nicest hotels that I have been to. During the week, my husband stays at different hotels while traveling for work & i visit him when he gets to stay near our hometown. Candlewood Suites in Hattiesburg, Mississippi has got to be my favorite. The rooms are really nice & clean with modern furniture & it has a kitchenette with a glass-top stove, dishwasher, & a full size refrigerater & freezer. The cabinettes have EVERYTHING you need to cook any meal, pots, pans, strainer, utensils, Pyrex Tupperware bowls with lids, & a set of 4 of drinking glasses, glass coffee cups, plates, saucers, & bowls. And also has coffee maker with several to-go coffee cups & lids, along with creamers, sugars, & several types of coffee to choose from. The beds & pillows are so nice & THE MOST COMFY SLEEP YOU WILL EVER GET!!! And as if that isn't enough, they have 4 washers & 5 dryers that guests can use FOR FREE, NO QUARTERS NEEDED!!! And checkout is at 12pm, so you don't have to wake up super early to try to pack & be out by 10 am like other hotels. I could live here!!
Mattresses were comfortable. Overall this hotel was okay and we'd probably stay here again. If you're a light sleeper - the air conditioner and (as best as I could tell) the water pipes were relatively loud compared to other hotels. We were satisfied and the nightly rate was good.
I travel a lot for work, and have stayed at many hotels in those travels. I wasn't expecting much when I got here, but wow was I pleasantly surprised! Christy was at the front desk when I got here, and was awesome to talk with. They were able to answer many questions I had about the area, and were even able to help me figure out some things to do in the area while I was staying here. I am disabled, and they were able to get me a room that was close to my vehicle so I didn't have to travel as far. They were pleasant to work with, and even got the approval of my dog that was traveling with me. I almost hated having to leave so I could get to my room to relax in. The room I got was amazing, and now I have something to compare other hotels to. It was set up like an apartment for me. I work remotely in my travels, and the room had a huge desk to work from that allowed me to get set up quickly with. The room was very well kept up, clean, and while it was a hot day outside, the AC's inside of it kept me nice and cool. The cabinets had dishes, and utensils, to use if needed. I've stayed at 5 star hotels that didn't offer these amenities. I have more than once found myself using paper plates in a hotel that cost a small fortune to stay at. The rates here were very reasonable for what came with the room. This hotel is located within a short distance of many restaurants, gas stations, and other services. It's also not far from the heart of Hattiesburg without being overwhelmed by it. While it's fairly close to the interstate, I really didn't hear any traffic noise from the room. There is an on site gym, an outdoor pavilion with a grill, and tons of parking. Every one of the staff that I met was super friendly, and great to speak with. As mentioned earlier, I travel with my dog, and the fact that they are welcome to pets is another wonderful aspect of this hotel. I will definitely be keeping my eye out for this hotel name in my future travels.
Good hotel, we stayed for about a month and our stay was pleasant Room cleaning was always done well and front desk was always helpful. Elevators could use a little bit of up-keeping but besides that everything was great Big parking space
